Since our founding in 1957, Frank N. Magid Associates has applied our research and strategy consulting experience and expertise to hundreds of companies across a variety of industries. Starting with our first client, Merchants National Bank, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and continuing with early successes in consumer packaged goods and transportation, we quickly learned that combining our research capabilities with strategy consulting found wide application.
As a result, even while Magid achieved increasing notoriety for our work in media and entertainment starting in the early 1960s, the company continued to grow our business and presence in non-media industries. This growth and development was made possible by diligently applying a growing set of research and strategy capabilities, as well as the company’s experienced-based perspectives and unique ability to look at the world through the eyes of the consumer.
